The 9-5: External Affairs and Communications Lead at SHiFT, harnessing the power of stories and creative communications to break the destructive cycle of children and young people caught up in, or at risk of, crime. Working to transform policy and practice in how young people in these circumstances are seen and supported.

The other time: Artist, writer, creative coach

Passionate about helping individuals and communities integrate art and creativity sustainably into their lives for increased joy. Motivated by the restorative power and the loveliness of art.

Hey, I’m Phoebe

I hold a degree in Fine Art (BA Painting) from Central Saint Martins and have spent seven years working in various roles within art galleries, including curation, public programming, and creative direction. From here I became an independent Communications Consultant and Creative Coach and I am currently the External Affairs and Communication Lead at SHiFT, an innovative systems change organisation at the frontline of breaking cycles of crime that harm children and young people.

My core beliefs revolve around the transformative power of art, its ability to transcend boundaries, heal, inspire, and the importance of promoting accessibility and diversity in creative expressions. I'm a strong advocate for nurturing individual creativity as essential for personal growth and community well-being, I love coaching creatives in my spare time and supporting them to build sustainable and expansive creative practices (and hanging out in their studios or cute bookshop cafes solving the world’s problems together!).

As an artist and collector, my creative practice currently considers the undervaluation of art and artists through satire, drawing inspiration from contemporary politics and social injustices.

GET TO KNOW ME

When I was nine, after developing a chronic pain condition, my parents were at a loss about how to help their once hyperactive child who could no longer run, cartwheel, or dance. That’s how I ended up at drama school, so it’s no surprise that I still enjoy being directed in front of a camera over a decade later.

In 2024, I had the opportunity to work with the incredible team at Love and London, presenting both long-form and short-form content. I pitched and collaborated on ideas, scripts, and creative direction, with my reels consistently reaching between 100K and 1.5M views. I genuinely love London, so while I might follow a script, my enthusiasm is always 100% real!
